View of the riverfront along the Ganges River in Varanasi. Several temples rise above the riverbank around the Manikarnika Ghat, a cremation ghat sometimes referred to as the Burning Ghat. Groups of people sit on blankets spread out on the riverbank, some with woven straw umbrellas to provide shade.
