The lid of the sarcophagus is flat and smooth, with a projecting ridge at the front. A central tabula bears an inscription identifying the deceased, and six bilateral fields, alternately rounded and gabled. These contain, from left: satyriskos sitting on a rock, playing double pipes; satyriskos playing a lyre; satyriskos playing cymbals before a panther; girl dancing with thyrsos; seated Herakles with club and kantharos; dancing satyriskos with flute; dancing satyriskos with syrinx and lagobolon; satyriskos with a drinking cup, astride a mule; Paniskos playing double-pipes; satyriskos placing a vessel on a stand; satyriskos with torch; seated satyriskos playing pipes.
