Portrait of a man and young boy on a mid-day break from work. The man sits on a folding stool and the boy on a wooden cart with a plank resting between them to create a make-shift table. A pail rests on the plank between plates and cups, and a napkin is spread across the man's knee as the boy places a bent arm on the side of the cart to rest his head in his hand. Axes, saws, and small logs are scattered around them.
