Pharaoh Amenhotep I reigned between c. 1514-1494 BCE. His cult became particularly widespread during the Ramesside period (1292-1077 BCE), to which this sculpture belongs. This can be deduced from certain features of the statue: large eyes, full cheeks and a hooked nose. The white colour of the sovereign’s skin (instead of the more commonly used red, is probably intended to imitate precious Egyptian alabaster. Dimensions: 27 cm x 65 cm x 40 cm.
