The upper register of this architectural fragment depicts the 'Opening of the Mouth' ritual performed at the tomb’s entrance, in front of the coffins containing the mummies of Pashed and his wife. The ritual is being performed by priests, who are the sons of the deceased. The setem-priest appears first, holding the mesekhtiu (an axe-shaped tool), accompanied by the lecture priest and the deceased’s weeping daughters. Dimensions: 108 cm x 79 cm x 14.5 cm.
