That Chinese potters succeeded in making such immense vases is a technical tour de force. The skilfully painted decoration of the hunting scenes in a mountain landscape, moreover, is cleverly distributed over the surface. It is clear that the porcelain industry in China had reached great heights and could meet its customers’ every demand.
