Beakers with depictions of the zodiac were used to store holy water. The twelve signs of the zodiac can be seen at the bottom. At the top edge is an inscription with its year of production. The meaning of the other motifs along the top is unclear. Such beakers are common in East Java but have seldom been preserved with the original lid, as here.
