A corset emphasizing the waist and buttocks was worn under this dress. It created a voluptuous S-bend silhouette, which was in fashion at the time. The long fringe with beads on the bodice hangs over the bosom, loose from the body. Only the topmost band of the skirt made of handmade lace, the rest are machine made.
