Peasant Family on the Tramp
Rembrandt van Rijn
- Date
- c. 1652
- Medium
- paper

In his early work, Rembrandt revealed an unending fascination with common people. Later, he revisited this subject only incidentally, as in these two prints, which still attest to his mastery. With a few deft lines, he rendered the toddler at the left, who appears to be walking along with his family only because his father holds his hand firmly.
