The name of the anonymous artist known now as the Master of the Brussels Romuléon comes from a manuscript of the *Romuléon,* a French text concerning Roman history, now owned by the Royal Library in Brussels. Stylized figures with wide-set eyes and pointed chins, dressed in exotic costumes, populate the artist's work.
