The Arabic text is written in Rayhani script, one of the six official scripts of Perso-Arabic calligraphy, and ornamented with red, blue, and gold rosettes. There is a red, blue, and gold roundel in the border on the verso (front). The text is from Chapter 39 of the Qur'an, "Surah al-Zumar"; verses 42–50 are on recto, while 51–60 are on the verso.
