The form of this early earthenware pot corresponds rather closely to the red earthenware vessel with horn-shaped handles ( CMA 1997.186 ). The attractive, gritty fabric of the clay body, the sooty black firing marks as well as the folded and hand-crimped rim help clarify the evolution of this functional shape in early Korean ceramic history. This earthenware with two handles may have been used for cooking.
