This small marble portrait of a man is heavily damaged, with weathering on the face, a break at the neck, and a large portion of the top of the head missing. It depicts a beardless youth with close-cropped hair. The flat top and back of the head may indicate that it was part of a larger composition. Some marbles are softer than others and more vulnerable to wear.
