The shank or band of this ring is crescent-shaped and circular in section; its upper sections are covered with heavy gold wire. The oval bezel on a swivel, the metal that holds the stone, takes the form of a scaraboid, or seal amulet in the shape of a scarab. Its sides are encircled by a double row of granules and are surmounted by a delicately molded frog in the round. The underside is incised with a nefer -sign to the right and a wedjat -eye. An exact duplicate of this ring, apart from the inscription, is in the Royal Scottish Museum in Edinburgh.
